Whatever you do, don't buy a Heritage Rough Rider. The low price is tempting, but they are junk.

Overhand or underhand?I have 4 and have been pretty happy with it. Knocked a varmint out of a tree at 25 yds with it.
I would pay a couple of hundred more for a revolver like that if you know where I can find oneSave a couple hundred more and find a S&W 617. IMO This is a fantastic revolver, while the price may be a bit steep, I think it is worth it, even with the Hillary Hole.
But it is your money, do as you will.
Where can I find one? Those H&R sportsman guns are nice, and do not weigh a ton.
Post #16.Where can I find one?

Not being a gun snob at all - I require my revolver cylinders to revolve without binding and I don't like any guns with plastic parts (other than a front sight insert).I have two that have not only been 100% reliable, but a lot of fun to shoot.
Don't be a gun snob. For $99 each, they're great little pistols!
I have a 999. Great gun. Really like that speedloader!View attachment 239004
