    Silly revolution hyperbole again?

When I point out that most GOP voters and Dem voters agree on the fundamental issues some stare at me as if I have a syphilitic chancre on my lip but I know I'm right.
    https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3225424/

Indeed Trump is sensing the real emergency. He has reason to worry.
There is no border crisis and we all know that.

A growing number of moderate Republican congressmen want the needless shutdown crisis to end, a shift from the first week of the shutdown. He is under increasing pressure from congressional colleagues who finally are mustering the gonadal fortitude to challenge him. Friday when hundreds of thousands of our best American workers fail to get a paycheck his desperation will show.

Was it silly when the framers fought for it? As Levin would say, we have a soft tyranny now. Is it ever a good time to revolt against govt.? You can think you are right all you want but voters do NOT agree on fundamental issues. The country is more divisive than almost any time in history.

    No border crisis? Again, wrong.

I am sure "moderate" RINOS want the shutdown to end. They are part of the problem and have stymied DT and citizen voters every chance they get. Of course they want things to go back to they way they were so they can do chit, make millions from side deals, and be the career politicians to control more people. These are the same people that pissed on DT's campaign.

"Best American workers"? Why do non-essential employees have jobs to begin with. The fed. govt. is the biggest employer in this country that should tell you something.

Here is today's Fox News Op-Ed complimenting the freshman congresswoman.

I did not say I agree with Ocasio-Cortez so no BS titer here..
She is young bright and energetic and a rising star for our young women to admire and emulate.

That seems to be the FoxNews opinion:

"The bottom line is, Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is someone who can be a role model for young girls everywhere. She had a goal, worked hard and achieved it. We should be applauding her accomplishments, not tearing her down and constantly criticizing her."

    Silly revolution hyperbole again?

Tonight his handlers kept him scripted, an emotionless automaton, lest his desperation become apparent.

As a bedrock principal I'm for a sound and secure wall. Don't doubt that. I, however, abhor Trump's methods. We are seeing his mafioso strong-arm modus operandi fail. He's faltering at his own "Art of the Deal".

He hasn't failed at all. He has tried for 2 years to get the wall funded thru the normal methods, deemed proper methods by Dimocrats and RINoS. No go, time for step 2. His message tonite was not lame and scripted. He presented his side of the disagreement directly to the American people (and a bunch of sheeple) directly without the media telling us what he said. In his own voice, no media baiting to stir him up. As Joe Friday stated, "Just the facts ma'am". He presented his side and let the Dims make fools of themselves

    Good Job President Trump.

What all of this has proven is the old saw about all DimoCrats are against the Second Amendment. As this has proven some are fervent Second Amendment supporters whilst being clueless about other things.

If the shoe fits, wear it.

In one poll I saw the people believed and thought that President Trump had a better message than was given by the Democrat response. The Democrats used their canned response.

If I had a daughter Ms. Ocasio-Cortez is not a person I would want her to emulate. Her ideas and ideals are far left wing and bad for the United States.

She is obviously energetic and charismatic enough to rally her base to get elected. Good for her.

In addition, she may be educated (note I did not say well educated, as is the case of most American academia), but that does not make her wise. Some of the most educated people have some of the most idiotic ideas.

    HKShooter,

SORRY but Ocasio-Cortez is young, energetic & (evidently) utterly CLUELESS. = I cannot believe that she is in any way qualified to lead anything as a congress-critter, unless simply "parroting the far left's talking points" is in 2019 an acceptable substitute for intelligent leadership. = Based on her interviews by the press, Ocasio-Cortez seems to have never had an intelligent thought of her own.
Personally, I hope that the DIMocRATS elect more dumb-bunnies just like her, as that will assure that , long-term that the DIMocRAT Party fails & becomes a permanent minority party.

    yours, satx

An opinion piece is your evidence?

I’ll have to go ahead and point out that the opinions in that piece have a lot of flaws.

She didn’t win a lot of votes in her district. She beat an incumbent who didn’t really try to run in the primaries because he didn’t think he needed to and most everybody stayed home.

The dancing video that was “attacked” wasn’t really attacked. There was a random guy that tweeted about it and for the most part people didn’t care but the media ran with the “poor Cortez is under attack again” story.

Her insane number of gaffs tend to dispute any claims of her having a high level of intelligence (unemployment low because people work two jobs?).

That’s just from quickly skimming the option piece and goes to show why opinion pieces are basically worthless as supporting evidence when snipped up and posted.

The fact that it’s posted by Fox is pretty meaningless as well. Most news organizations keep a few people on payroll of varying opinions so the talking heads can have something to argue about. It does nothing to give the opinion any credit, especially given that it’s an OPINION piece and is about feels not facts.

Lastly, it is not a Fox News opinion. It’s the opinion of a Fox News contributor. You can not attribute that opinion to the organization and you should, and probably do, know that.
