Not much of a gambler but thinking of making the drive to the WinStar and spending the night. Everyone talks about the gambling but how are the restaurants there? Most casinos have overrated dining so it would be nice to know what the best bets are in terms of quality of food and value. Also, do they have any decent shops there?

    Thanks!

Not much of a gambler either. Foods great at Kirby’s Steakhouse although I prefer to eat it in Mickey Mantle's. Toby Keith’s is always good. I’ve been there for a few concerts and always worth the trip.

Theres probably 100 restaurants you should try in DFW before going all the way to a casino "for the food". If you're going for the sake of others going to gamble, I'll subscribe to this thread to see if anyone thinks its worth it for the shows at either Winstar or Choctaw.

The wife and I were there last week for gambling Stay away from the buffet, it was crap (We talked about it and we’re pretty sure we would not eat at the buffet again, even if it was free ). The Terrace restaurant there, we have heard good things about, but I’ve not had a chance to try yet. Sessions house had good sandwiches. The fish and chips restaurant “chip and ales” was all right, but I don’t think we’ll go back there

The other meals, we ate in our RV, wonderful food and wonderful service

    ;)

To be honest, I would not expect anything close to what we get at B&B Butchers in Ft Worth. My nominee for some of the best food in the area
