Yes you can. Chapter 46 of Texas Penal Code removed Gravity assisted knives from the illegal knife definition.

I got one of those, too. That blue handle, black blade combo looks really sharp. I bought it as part of some early xmas shopping, but it's going to be hard not to keep it for myself

Piece of advice
This was not addressed in DPS's Change of law update for Sept 1st. Alot of Agencies and officers do not know about this. DPS's website still shows 46.05 to include switchblades and butterflies.

Sounds like there will be some beat downs and rides going to jail.
