    Yes you can. Chapter 46 of Texas Penal Code removed Gravity assisted knives from the illegal knife definition.

    Piece of advice
    This was not addressed in DPS's Change of law update for Sept 1st. Alot of Agencies and officers do not know about this. DPS's website still shows 46.05 to include switchblades and butterflies.

    Sounds like there will be some beat downs and rides going to jail.
