Nilgai( hopefully) and maybe Axis when they get full antlers later in the spring/early summer.
Thats an outstanding mount. I am hoping that I can get a monster buck. It will be my first Axis deerThis one was taken in January. My only velvet mount.
Its a separate process to treat the velvet. They basically embalm the antlers. $150 extra to do that process.
Have you ever had blackbuck meat?Blackbuck in April. I actually sold all of my classifieds I had up which is kinda rare so I just booked an Axis deer hunt in May for me and my wife.
Nope that will be a first as wellHave you ever had blackbuck meat?
Marinades, spices & sauces are what you might want to study up on.Nope that will be a first as well
Guessing they taste like hot trash then huhMarinades, spices & sauces are what you might want to study up on.
Taste like goat. Younger ones and ewes are tasty. But you are not paying for a younger one or a ewe.Guessing they taste like hot trash then huh

My dogs like the meat well enough though.
My experience with Axis is that it's more like Elk. Darker, beef like, and delicious.Axis is second only to fallow deer for least gamey. It’s really tasty.
Hoji was saying black buck was gamey. I would guess it’s tough too.

Thats what I have been reading online. I actually took an elk in December in Pennsylvania and got about 350-375 pounds of meat. It is better than beef imo.My experience with Axis is that it's more like Elk. Darker, beef like, and delicious.
