Picked up a sig kilo 2200 bdx range finder. Honestly, the verdict is still out. I have been messing around with it for a couple hours now. I was getting some crappy pairing with the app and the unit was locking me out. It was also in a upgrade firmware loop for like an hour.. When it works it seems to be OK so far. I will give it a rip tomorrow at work during the day.

Hopefully this weekend I can get to the range to ping those targets out past the 500 berm. This particular unit should give ballistic solutions out to 800 yards.

I have the slightly older model (kilo 2k), and it's been fantastic...depending on the target, and assuming it's working properly, I would think you should easily get double that (farthest I've ranged with mine was a vehicle at ~2k).

ETA: I should learn how to read; you were referring to the ballistic calc, my bad...

This is the fancy one that should be able to read out past 2k. For double the price, the 2400 has a full ballistic calc built in.

This one is the new BDX line that can interface with a phone app and the SIG line of BDX scopes. Really, it is a cool piece of kit that allows you to range with the finder and it will give you a drop in the scope reticle. With the app it is the applied ballistics lite program with windage and drop. Paired with the kestral I will have all the maths handed to me. I will just have to confirm and then prove it wrong and figure out the proper solution the old fashion paper way like I should have from the start.

I have a similar setup on a bolt .308 with a Burris eliminator. It has a laser range finder and scope that will illuminate the drop in the reticle in one package. I had a buddy on the range work out to 500 with the .308 by just pressing the range button and pulling the trigger. It is way too easy. It made him go home and buy a rem 700 .308 with good glass as he was hooked on the long game.

To all that read this, my verdict is still out on this range finder. I invisioned a device I could pick up cold, wake it up, and range a target. So far it has not lived up to that. It is going into some default mode. I have to remove the battery cap and then turn it back on. It works fine after that, until it goes to sleep.... for the coin I spent it should just work. (Not baller money, but I could have got nearly 400 rounds of 6mm creedmoor mailed to me and figured all the maths the old fashion way. I will probably need a new barrel by that time but that is a different issue.)

    Nice! Local gun store find?
Yea I got lucky for sure at my lgs. They are about 1.5 hours away so its kind of a haul but usually worth it

I saw the jug of H4895 and damn near sprinted to it. Found the small rifle primers buried in behind a crap ton of large magnum pistol primers.

I almost didn't go today but glad I did. They had alot of powder in stock which I wanted to buy but I spent about $450 there this morning after only going there to buy some primers lol

    Gunz are icky.
Which ones do you like? I've got a few revolvers but use speed strips since I can use them for all of them.

I prefer the HKS or 5-Star type for carry.
They hold the rounds more securely IMO.
For range use I prefer the Speed Beez type. They load a little quicker and easier.
The ones I got today were from 5-Star.

I got some pacmayr grips for my s&w 327pc today. After trying them on, I decided I will be sending them back. I dont like the gap/fit.
