I wish I could afford to feed a 50... Let alone the 50 itself. Maybe someday when the kids are all out of the house. 13 years and counting!Haven’t done much in a while but got a gift card so decided to try some new bullets for the .50 and ordered a box of Barnes 750gr TAC-LR.
Loaded 5 rounds in Lapua brass over 235gr of Reloader 50. Brass was sized and trimmed but otherwise unprepped. Hadn’t even cleaned it since it’s last firing.
Pulled the 4th shot and I knew it before I even looked to see where it hit.

I’ve been hitting at 1,000 at my local range over 50% of the time. I bought the gauge to check case neck thickness for a bushing die. Decided to check the runout on the Sierra 175gr in Lapua brass that I had already loaded. The better ammo I can put together the better I can do. So to answer you question it would be for anyone wanting to improve accuracy.Brad Martin, what distance do you shoot? Is the concentricity tool used for distance shooting(1000+)?
To check case neck thickness properly you need a ball mic or easiest way is to measure a loaded round with calipers then subtract 0.002 off the number and order a bushing.I’ve been hitting at 1,000 at my local range over 50% of the time.
