45 Colt prices. Started with a single stage, graduated to the lee turret and eventually progressed to the L-N-L about 3 years ago. Interestingly, thousands of reloads later, I still haven't loaded a single 45 Colt cartridge yet :). I will one day...

    .375 Holland and Holland

That cartridge is still my first love.
Way versatile and pretty good at the "mine's bigger 'n yours" gatherings
I used to load the soft thin 200 and 220 gr bullets intended for the old slow 375 Winshester to crazy hot 3,600+ FPS.

I still have the 1982 Ruger #1 Tropical who's very strong falling block action protected me from my overpressure stupidity of youth.
Those big cross section projectiles made red haze of the poor armadillos and raccoons.

My 24/7 ringing ears will never let me forget!

12 gauge reloading on a Lee Loadall Hooked me on reloading.
I still reload 28's and .410 for the huge savings.
They go for $10 a box in Walmart. I can load them for under $4 a box.

Well my AK has a 308 barrel and that's what really sold me on it. I also shoot a lot of 9 so it helps to reload those. I'm loading hornady haps for about $.20 each. That's as cheap as tula but much better rounds.

I'm also loading now for my 6.5 jap and plan to get more firs in the next couple weeks. I need some 223 and some 40 for sure. Maybe I'll get 45 to just to have.

It was 44 mag for me too. Bought the gun, shot a box of shells, couldn't grip my steering wheel on the way home.

My cousin got me into reloading, mainly for two reasons: Price of ammo (could do it for under 12 cents) and loading reduced recoil loads.

My reloads of 240g lead bullets didn't punish my hand as bad as the full-tilt factory loads of the jacketed bullets.

I did load some 315g HPs for hunting. Those were bad ass. Now I can't even find them. Must have loaned or given them to someone.

I'm with Coop. The 25-06 is basically what got me into it. I bought other dies but that's the cartridge that pushed me over the edge. It was just a few years ago too. What an awesome cartridge.

In the beginning, .45 ACP, I was shooting a lot of it in competitions.

    Crush, kill, mangle, maim, destroy.

For me it was the 7mm TCU. From there it just took off and now I reload for 22 different rifle and pistol chamberings.

7.7 Jap for a bring back from one of my uncles in 1975. Used a Lee hand loader with once fired Norma brass. Now have RCBS progressive and load for 11 calibers.
