    I figure this sits at about 100 yds. and as you can see no damage, I got the parts now for a dueling tree and some other steel critters coming so oughta be fun when it's finished.

    Smart man, setting yourself up in the shade like that. Did you fab the target holder yourself? Looks great.

    No, a welder is about 4 miles from me and we traded some work, I do weld when absolutely necessary, but no I didn't weld them I did tell him what I wanted tho and he did a good job.

    Very cool. One thing I'll swing by you just as food for thought: I read about a range that used a manhole lid as a target. They welded the chains a few inches low on the back of the lid. This gave it a natural incline which helped guide the bullets toward the ground and avoid dangerous ricochets.

    If you can't weld, just make the holes in the target square, then use carriage bolts and attach the chains to the end of a 3" bolt to achieve the same downward angle.
