Federal seemed to be a big one ... I think Winchester also. Not sure beyond that.

The one's I have, which are only a handful at this time, are Federal possibly Blazer. I think there was a random Speer case as well. I will double check my labels when I go inside.

What is the advantage of using small pistol primers in .45 ACP rather than the standard large pistol primers?

Blazer, Federal and Speer are the ones ive seen. But they are all made by the same company so it makes sense.

.....And Winchester NT (non toxic) are small too.

I have both large and small primers. I do not load on a progressive so it does not matter to me what size I use. Many who load on a progressive only want large as it is much easier to load only one size primer. A stray small primer brass in a batch of all large primer brass really gums up the works.

I just figured that if they were going to be discarded or recycled, why not use them since it makes no difference to me loading on a single stage in batches.
