Took my wife for her first trip to the range today

So we got to go shoot the Beretta today. Turns out I am a much better shot with her gun than I am with my own. I think it's all in the trigger. I seem to highly prefer guns with hammers. This was at 45 feet. Kept it all in the head area except for one round where I know I jerked the trigger.

The 14 in the head are all from me and all from the same mag.

So how did the wife do with HER gun?

Trigger makes a real difference. Try a 1911. Glad y'all like it though.

Ironically, she does better with my gun than I do (and better than she does with her own). She does like her gun though. She said it's more user friendly. And she can actually operate the slide on hers. With mine she can't really unless it's pointed straight down.

1911 is high on my want list. They're expensive though.

I also tried some one handed shooting. Let's just hope I'm never in a situation where I HAVE to shoot one handed. I did horribly.
