That's what my tinnitus sounds like.I can still hear that noticeable high pitch a CRT TV puts off when it's on.
That's what my tinnitus sounds like.
Mine does this too. For no reason... I'll just be chilling... next thing you know, ringggg... I'd say it happens about twice over a 3 month span.Mine comes on like a tuning fork, first in one ear, then the both.
And like Vaquero, seeing this thread popup a lot lately has been reminding me of that ringing quite a lot.
Tinnitus usually doesn’t overpower the surrounding auditory inputs; its the distraction/focus on the ringing that sometimes interferes with processing other sounds.

Well... I'm not posting on this thread anymore. It just happened. You’re lucky. I’m daily or even several times a day.
Look up "vocal fry". That's the one you're talking about. Everything sounds like it's a question? And the voice is squished, high pitched and warbling?
Gee. I'm sorry I missed it.A perfect example of that aggravating but very common sound in young females these days: Alexander Ocasio-Cortez.
Heard her speech this morning and, along with the idiotic content, the aggravating frequency component I mentioned is evident in her voice.
TheMailMan has an opinion on CBD @ https://www.texasguntalk.com/threads/cbd-oil-news.89370/http://www.jscholaronline.org/articles/JPDM/Cannabis-Cannabinoids-and-Tinnitus.pdf
May be one of the uses for medical cannabinoids.
The CBD oil for sale at the gun shows...the seller claims it helps, although just anecdotally.
Mine varies a lot from day to day with no apparent exacerbating nor alleviating activities or factors.
Anybody tried the CBD for sale (somehow legally) all over our state???
You’re lucky. I’m daily or even several times a day.
Isn't tinnitus just a failure of that mechanism? It seems to me that the mechanical or biological source of the sound is always there, but we're supposed to mentally filter it out.Our brains are wonderfully adaptable. There is an internal mechanism which minimizes any constant or repetitive external stimulus for us, so that we can better notice our environments.
