Short, loud, and ridiculous? Yes please!
Just picked this up for a heck of a good deal and am very excited to get it to the range. A 16in barreled .308 with a brake sounds like it will be obnoxious and I'm all for it.
The Scout Rifle concept is an interesting one, even if it did not gain much popularity. I like the short length, brake, iron sights, and that it uses AICS mags. If only it had a stripper clip cutout.
I think it will be a fun handy little setup for hog or brush country deer hunting once all put together. Plans obviously include, sling, optic, and a suppressor.
Opinion time! Those of you who have/had/have used a scout setup, what kind of optic did you prefer? My thoughts are:
- Scout Scope, thinking a Vortex 2-7x
- Red dot
- Slap a normal rail on there and use a regular optic setup
- Prsim, maybe a 3x
- Red dot and 3x magnifier
- LPVO
