Actually it says “.........relieved of his duties.”, which for a university may well mean they gave him a paid time out.

My BIL/SIL are being evac'd from their home in the Lakes on Eldridge subdivision, which is imperiled by the Addicks reservoir situation. Last night, the water was up to the top step of their front walkway and now it's going up further. Boats have come by and begun the prioritizing job of who to evac first and so forth.

My dad is being evaluated in the Little York/ Eldridge area of Houston because of the dam concern. Dad says he thinks it will be fine but he will get out now while he can and will stay with a family member close by.

We have reports from nearby neighborhoods that some truly despicable animals out there pretending to be LEO to ask people to evacuate, then proceeding to rob them at gun point. I don't know if this is hearsay or not but if you're in a water affected area, please be aware of this.

They need to let him go. Any "professor" who hasn't the demeanor to present him/herself in a professional way AND who still doesn't comprehend the impact of even "personal statements" on social media, really isn't smart enough to be instructing at the college level.

Bravo Texas you are showing the rest of the whining liberal states how to do things right! We live now in Clear Lake Shores right next to Kemah and we got a bunch of flooding on this little island and not one person was bitching about it and why isn't the government doing more. Husband came home from work and showed some cool video of army helicopter landing today at the hospital where he works in Angleton. He said it felt really neat to be helping to get some frozen blood on the copter to be taken to Galveston. No other way to get it there, I guess!
