I have my laptop "paired" with my smartphone for text messages. So if I get a text message on my phone the same message shows up on my laptop as well. Thanks for replies.
Just talked to my GF, and she said her phone updated.
Just now told me that she also is having the same thing happen with her daughter.
So, ya'll are correct.
Problem is, "dumb" phones are pretty much obsolete now and most of the networks won't even support them anymore.Ah, so-called 'smart phones'...not for me.
Why not?
Let's put it this way: Would you accept a drink at a bar you didn't see poured from start to finish into your hand?
That's what a 'smart phone' is...go ahead, drink up!

Totally different from getting the text message as private message on FB.I have my laptop "paired" with my smartphone for text messages. So if I get a text message on my phone the same message shows up on my laptop as well.
In many ways, yes.Is a smart phone that much different from a laptop/computer?
Faster method: uninstall anything related to FB.Have your GF check her Book of Face Messenger settings. It's probably setup to rx both SMS and FB texts.
Brother , you are not alone .When I was forced to get a smart phone, I went into settings and turned off all of the apps I don't or wouldn't use. Which was almost all of them.
