Munchkin and I just took a shower. He's done with his blow dry but now he's stomping, as much as 8 ounces of fluff and attitude can stomp, around the kitchen and demanding his lunch.

My wife got up and made him lunch, chocolate Malt-o-Meal with banana, and a drink.

The little shit has us trained to the idea he can only drink really warm water and it has to be out of a glass.

MG - I'm truly sorry for the loss in the family.

I lost the stray that adopted me a short while back.

It's taking a lot to get used to not having my buddy around.

You'll see each other at The Gates with a tail a wagggin' when the time comes.

I feel your pain. I'm convinced pets don't very long to train us when the really big lose happens.

I lost my wife of 36 years seven months ago, inheriting her dog who was very scared of me. I believe he grieved for her as much as I have. Now he's my son.

I had to put down my long time buddy. She was the best dog I’ve ever known. Fortunately a customer bred her healers and gifted a red girl to me. R.I.P Ms comet, and welcome Ms Rose to the family

It's amazing how God works things out; y'all musta been praying hard for us.

Below, is a picture of my three dogs on the mountain; Stryker in the back, little Shiny and Jake, my Anatolian cross, up front. When my big boys died I had them cremated and before I left the mountain I spread their ashes to the wind from the highest point. Shiny I brought with me to Texas in '21, and I'll have her ashes back this next week.

For the last couple months, we'd been looking for a second dog, a big dog for out here, and had left our name with local shelters incase something came in we might be interested in. Yesterday we got a call. They had an Anatolian mix pup ready to go and were we interested.

They told us when we got there that he had been shot. Buckshot. It got next to his left eye, the eyeball is cloudy but still intact; vet thinks it will clear up with the eye drops and prescribed meds; shot was dug out of his left cheek and ear flap; it grazed his left side in two spots but that shouldn't bother him. He's three months old and weighs 32 pounds. Would we still want him, they asked...

We brought him home today, named him Duke.

The Lord works in mysterious ways.
