Was raised on a farm, and we had more than our share of poultry.
Oldest of 5 children, I was always looking to make my chores easier, so tried to use that experience in the design.
I did enjoy making them, wished now I'd made one for me, but this city will not allow chickens.

I was raised on a farm too. Which is why I would like not going inside to get the eggs. LOL

I've done that a few times. Kind of cool to watch them eat an egg. But it scares the bejeesus out of you when you grab one in the dark.

Wasn't raised on a farm but making up for some of that. I enjoy watching my grandkids reach under a chicken for eggs. Somewhat of a staring contest to see if they will get pecked
