Well it is shot show. You can't go into it actually expecting companies to make what they're showing off.

Call me crazy but yes I do expect companies to sell what they advertise.
Take for example that STG 44 that PSA is running on about.
That gun was developed and fielded during war. It was designed to be. And they did it.
Here we are in the 21st century and this gun seems to extremely difficult to reproduce.
It isn't THAT complicated of a firearm.
You'd think it was a phased plasma rifle in the 40 Watt range.
Come on man.

It really depends on the company. Iwi had the carmel out within a year. Of course they just got recalled, but still.

Even the working class of that generation were smarter than most people of the current crop.

The old school engineers built rocket ships taht went to the fuckin' moon using slide rules and #2 pencils. Kids today have literal supercomputers at their disposal, and NASA's contractors can't seem to build a reliable rocket, and have admitted they can't just whip up more Saturn V's because they threw away the plans and no one knows how to build one anymore, or seems to have expertise enough to make a good facsimile of such.

The world is run by "well educated" idiots and no one can do math without a damned calculator.

At least PSA's guns tend to run after they get the bugs worked out - Sig may as well just admit their handguns are destructive devices and start marketing them as grenades. At this point I'm a bit leeary whenever someone in a range bay next to me pulls out a P320 or even a 365, wondering if I'm gonna catch some shrapnel in the neck when it goes kaboom. I'm willing to give them a bit of grace to get the STG 44 clone to market, they did get an AK to market, and Americans are notoriously bad at building AK's - a gun that can be made from a damned snowshovel and spare parts.

We'll have a PSA STG 44 before HK ever gives us an MP7, or a reintroduced G3, or a handgun that the general public really yearns for (like a USP with a picatinny rail, instead of the P30, or VP9)
