(Yawn), Just another headline following America's favorite pastime. I'm sure we look real inviting to the non-US. And right on cue (LOL), when posting here, a large ad appears on top of the page for the Winchester SXP Trench Shotgun.

How did he get a shotgun to the school unnoticed? walking, bus, riding in a vehicle, it should have been seen.
Very easy. They funnel everyone thru a detector so all one needs to do is stash the gun by another door. Behind the bushes if available all the better. Go thru detector then go to the door and open it and prop it open and retrieve the stashed gun. Bam. Gun inside the school past the detectors. Or if they do like other schools for after hours school events the detectors aren’t manned. Just stash the gun elsewhere inside. There’s no way to make these schools totally safe. Safe just isn’t possible in reality. Look at prisons, they are locked down 24/7 yet drugs and weapons still make it inside. The schools are getting more prison like yet nothing has really changed in terms of safety. But hey, the kids are being indoctrinated to obey like nice prisoners. Perhaps that’s the real agenda behind the school safety protocols that have been put in place.

Possibly it's the "house" gun, if so that would explain why he had access to it, which is gonna open a whole new can of worms

I'd expect those responsible for safety in the schools, to be more aware of their weaknesses and develop a reasonable security plan.

    Hearing it was an AK

When he heard that his brother, Michael Brandon Hill, had been accused of opening fire with an AK-47 inside a Georgia elementary school this week, Tim Hill said he was just “a little bit” surprised.
there are widely circulated photos on twitter showing an individual carrying a pump action shotgun.
Who knows if they are the actual perpetrator, but they are being passed as such.

About 20 years ago I read comments on one of the forums.
People were talking kids and guns back to 50’s-80’s: schools had shooting clubs, parents bought their kids rifles for Christmas, there were trucks with hunting rifles on racks at the schools’ parking lots.
One man said his dad took him to Sears, bought him a hunting rifle, and they were riding Metro bus back home. All passengers greeted little boy, wished him a good luck with hunting.
School students washed animals’ blood off their hands in the mornings in the schools’ restrooms, after early morning hunting.
And guess what? Nobody got shot.
    Then something happened.

Gun control became a basic plank of the democrat party. News media began leaning harder left, picked up the gun control cause, and these shooters became famous - which appeals to the next fucked-up whiner who wants to go out in a blaze of glory. Gloifying the shooters led to ratings in the new 24 hour live news cycle, so every opportunity was taken to usher the next "gun violence" story onto the news. Incidents that would barely be more than a local story are now plastered all over the airwaves, newspapers and the internet worldwide because it gins up controversy and emotion.

That's what happened. There were shootings back then - they just weren't fetishized and reported ad nauseum.

This story and the ad are both relevant troll. As stated...........it's a gun site. You don't want to see ads for guns or hear news stories about them go back to snapchat. Lot's of non gun content there I hear.

Many parents are no longer involved in their kids lives. They don't raise them, don't discipline them. Abdicate parental duties to the daycare, kindergarten, grade school.

Consequently when these kids have serious issues, they receive no help. No one at home even notices.

    Helotes!
    Their responses are very telling...

“What should have been a joyous back-to-school season in Winder, Georgia, has now turned into another horrific reminder of how gun violence continues to tear our communities apart,” President Biden said in a statement.

Vice President Kamala Harris addressed the school shooting at a campaign event in Portsmouth, N.H., calling on Americans to “end this epidemic of gun violence” once and for all.

Former President Donald Trump, the Republican presidential nominee, said in a social-media post that “our hearts are with the victims and loved ones of those affected.”
