How did he get a shotgun to the school unnoticed? walking, bus, riding in a vehicle, it should have been seen.

It could be broken down and taken in as parts. That only makes it a little smaller, but every bit helps. It could have been taken in carried under something else. And then the easiest way would be to stage the gun after hours when nobody would see him.
