Makes more sense. I saw it listed as Stainless everywhere, but apparently that’s the “finish color”. It even say stainless in the link you posted.
Maybe Taurus doesn’t care if the topstrap gets flame cut 500 rounds in?

I have yet to see a flame-cut one...either by Taurus or S&W.

A flame cut, especially delivered via acetylene is just the trick for a Taurus.
