View attachment 207643 I’ve been limiting myself to one meal a day this week, and feeling really good by it. Today, I decided to make a nice soup and had a hankering for something Pho-ish.
vegetable soup with garden onions, carrots, and chard:
You've got fungus floating in your water there.
Looks good said the wife. She's a soup person.
This was our Sunday meal. Does this look more to your liking? If I'm eating soup, it's because I'm sick.
My wife is the soup and salad person. I'm meat, potatoes and bread!
I've been craving chicken tikka masala from this joint by my office. I might have to break down and try my hand at making it myself.

I've tried a few times and failed miserably. Wish I knew the secret of getting it remotely close to the restaurant version. Been thinking about some chicken korma or some goat biryani. May have to takeout on that tomorrow.

Grilled pork chops and sweet potatoe with butter and brown sugar medley. The sweet potatoes turned out perfect. Almost over done that they were so tender.
The pork chops were a bust. I thought they turned out perfect. The wife and kids not so much. I seasoned them with ground pepper and Cayenne pepper as usual. My spice jar seemed to clump and when I was putting on the cayenne it was a bit to heavy. My wife ended up making pancakes and eggs for her and the littles. With that being said, the baby girl (1.5 years) ate a half of a chop. My wife had one bite and let out a stringer of 4 letter words due to the spice.
Not all dinners are winners.....
