The electronic viewfinder in my Nikons are very nice and I don't have the shutter effect of the mirror coming up to block the view. You can set the thing to show what the exposure looks like which is sometimes helpful sometimes not. The monitor on the back isn't as useful in bright sun and if you don't set it to prioritize the viewfinder it tends to drain batteries on my Z8. Not so much on the Z7 or Z6II. I want to make a sun shade for it, kinda like the pop up shades on the old Speed Graphics. That's been my attitude toward every one of them I've ever used. But I haven't looked through a new one in quite a while. So...
...have LCD viewfinders gotten good or are you just tolerating them?
Yes. It's a Remington iirc..I think the name of that statue is "End of the Trail." Kansas City had one overlooking the train station as I recall.
I deleted my post because I was wrong and was thinking of "The Scout."Yes. It's a Remington iirc..
Really? Sure sounded right to me. ...I deleted my post because I was wrong and was thinking of "The Scout."
They have gotten a lot better. My Z6II is ok, but the viewfinders on the Z8 and Z9 are very good. That's been my attitude toward every one of them I've ever used. But I haven't looked through a new one in quite a while. So...

I hear that the Z6III is even better, but have not looked through one.
