In 82, before Reagan cut individual tax rates, ran O&G leasing crews in four states, a 30 well drilling program in SE Colorado, and an in-house title curative section that could hardly keep up with demand.

In 87 we were brokering reserves for as little as $3/bbl.

Welcome to Texas, where the trick is not making money in the oil business, but keeping it.

Don't know if it's true or not I was just informed that pump co just fired about 70 EO today anyone who had 2 write up were gone. My employer is doing the same and if you don't have a CDL there the next to go. doesn't look good.

I'm a salesman. All of our hands are in the field and were pulling out office help to work as tech assistants (hole diggers, go fors, wire terminations). We're behind on work. I had to turn down a job for bid week before last. It's booming in production maintenance, measurement and automation. They gotta flow it.

Drove through midland/odessa yesterday. The amount of equipment setting in yards at midday was unsettling.
