I still can't believe that there wasn't any Texas votes here for XXX Root Beer, since it had it's beginnings in Galveston. I used to at times stop in Issaquah, Wa. on my way to Snoqualmie Pass at this one:

As far as I know, it's still there.

Growing up, my neighbor owned a few Wienerschnitzel's. We ate there a lot!

I remember the Wienerschnitzels! Loved them! We use to eat at them a lot growing up in Houston.

I wonder if any are still around? I can't remember seeing one in some years now. The last one I remember was over in Tyler, but it closed down years ago.

YES they are still around. Hard to find. A couple or 3 in Amarillo. Same in Lubbock (with luck my fam will eat lunch at the one on Quaker in Lubbock on Friday) there is one in San Marcus. ALSO the one in Tyler became a Weinerland (think the owner dropped the franchise) but still makes a very similar product. I think they still operate. I think the DFW Metro still have a couple. One in Grand Prairie I know. ALSO I think there might still be one in San Antonio. Austin, one in Bryan, New Caney (Houston). Abilene, San Angelo, Midland, Odessa,
Mesquite, Allen, Victoria, Lufkin, Corpus, Lumberton, Beaumont, Fabens, El Paso, Nederland, Orange are all listed on their website. They say they have 45 stores in Texas. They also sell their chili by the case or can now.
