This followed my wife home last weekend, a French style curio cabinet. Apparently it would look better white.
All the hardware that’s going to come off is off. Next step is a light sanding, then a bonding primer, then it will get some sort of white finish before it gets re-assembled.
Oh the joys of sweat equity to save $75.

Looking back, it would’ve been quicker to rent a soda blaster but that’s messy and dry ice blasting would be neat to try out, but finding the pellets is a a pain.
Ended up choosing Sherwin Williams’ Extreme Bond for the primer. That stuff ain’t cheep at $27/pt, but lots of reports show it’s a top performer when the base is a coated stain.
