I learned a new word yesterday: sciatica.
    Holy crap on a cracker.
I shoulda bought stock in Doan's.

You're just now hearing of sciatica? You're lucky. I've dealt with it for years. Kbaxter is absolutely correct! My inversion table has been about the only thing that helped me. You have my prayers as well as my sympathy.

Just now? Um, yeah. In my almost 70 years, other than passing kidney stones 8 yrs ago, I've had no 'medical' problems at all... I'm not on any prescriptions, and don't do OTC meds.. maybe some ibuprofen once in a while when old ski injuries flare up for a few days? but that's it.

Hopefully this won't happen again, nor often if it does. Hubby has major back problems and has Doan's on hand so I tried one & used a heating pad. It went away on its own after about 48hrs, but it sure kicked me while it was here.

Thanks for the suggestion and prayers. :)

Add: So sorry you suffer with this. Hard to imagine dealing with this constantly long-term. Prayers for you, too.

    Thanks :)
Right side for me, just above my butt cheek. Took me a few days to research what it might be. No other injuries in the vicinity; old ski damage was to left knee.
