    At 8 am today I start 24 hrs of MSHA training..8 hrs a day for 3 days.

    It's a live class but online and they have a camera on you so you can't just screw around and not pay attention
    It's going to suck..

    If you already know the material, then some things people have done to provide more freedom during such required events:

    1) if your camera has a manual focus, make it fuzzy. If it doesn’t, hang an older pair of glasses over the camera lens. If the camera is on a phone or iPad, a thin layer of Vaseline will help obscure the camera. And it comes off easily afterwards.

    2) put the camera / laptop further away. 2-3’ is normal, 4’-5’ will greatly reduce the size/resolution

    3) if you have an additional monitor / iPad, use that for the training and you computer for real work.

    Why do this? You’ll have more freedom of movement/ ability to multitask :) during the training.
