As somone who has been through the entire process, I will say for certain that only a damn fool would risk their sight for life for any benefit that would result from doing bilateral cataract surgery on the same day.

Lasix, maybe, not cataract sugery.

Sounds like something only a modern doctor, who uses pronouns and requires his staff to do the same, would do.
