FJBDang. Spent a c-note at the pump and didn’t even get a full tank. Never knew things could get so good again, much less so quickly.

I have to try to teach them to weld whether I believe they will become welders or not. I usually know who has potential fairly soon, and while I would certainly like to have the option to ignore those that seem to have little or no ambition to learn, it would be used against me.I gave this some thought....
Fer yer students that ain't never a gonna be weldors?
Set them to drillin'/tappin' a block.................o INCONEL!

I need to emulate all this. Sis takes meds that make her sensitive to heat. She's perfectly happy to sit in the living room in the middle of winter and leave the heat off, even when that means every breath is visible. Summer, though, is torture for her. With all the dang electronics in this house it just as well be - but no.
We just like it cold
And if you're wondering, the house is extremely well insulated, all walls are deeply shaded (sans one small end) the A/C runs probably 16 hrs out of 24 daily. We set it to 60 overnight and 65 during the day, and our highest electric bill was under $250.

But it's not that easy to up and leave a paid-for house just because it's old, poorly constructed, poorly insulated, and keeping it somewhat cool is way too damn expensive.
More or less. The HOA prohibition against window units makes that a bother but if I ever wind up replacing the A/C in this place again, you better believe it will be a bunch of split units with every room being separately controllable.Have you been able to create a 'cold room' of sorts for her?

One place I lived the HOA had the same restriction, so I got one of these - nothing shows from the outside and you dont even have to take the window screen off.
This one is on Amazon - $279

Good idea. This is what I'm talking about.
ETA: I elevate it in order to drain it into a bucket.
Good idea.
Where I was humidity averaged < 40%; only needed to empty it's internal 'bucket' once a week, if that.
