My lady friend once kept talking about what she needed right around her birthday, and I listened. Ended up getting her a new battery for her car, a shop vac., and a case of some special beer. I thought I did really good. She explained how it misread her hints. Now I just buy her gun stuff, and take her shooting. That makes her happy, but it took me a number of years to figure that out.

Buy her a rifle... If she's mad, dump her. Life is too short to be with someone that doesn't enjoy the same activities you do. This has worked out for me rather well

What's with all these hints and games, anyways? It sounds like she's enjoying making you squirm by not telling you what her "hints" were.
