Next SBR Upper Build for Suppressed Use

Update- my upper will be here tomorrow. I'll throw on a magpul buis set I have extra.

All thats left-
1. Magazine block - leaning towards Rock River (bottom loading, friction lock, adjustable, aluminum)
2. Magazines- I'll get about 10 colt style (ASC, PSA, maybe get surplus uzi mags to convert)
3. Optic- I have 2 primary arms advanced micro dots and I love them. Might go there again. Might try one of their prism 2x or 3x sights
4. Magazine loader- not a necessity but I read that they're worth it.

Note: I'm really unimpressed with the input and help from the members here. It's all about politics but this is a fun forum. I know there are people here with 9mm ARs.

I have a 9mm AR. Mostly built with CMMG parts including their dedicated lower.

The mags get tough to load halfway through so the loader is really helpful.

I really looked at CMMG for a bolt, barrel, upper and handguard. Unfortunately I couldn't find a shop that had everything in stock. My last SBR upper was almost all CMMG and it's epic.

What mags and buffer do you use?

Brownells has a 3 pack of 30's on sale. They are the same as colt but with a slightly different finish. Zero issues with them.

My bolt and carrier are both CMMG.

Sweet. I'll check out the brownells mags. They need to be on sale. I looked a week back and they were about $34 each and that's gay.

So what buffer are you using, weight, length, manufacturer specifically?

Just ordered a Rock River Mag Block from Valhalla Armory and 4 metal form mags from PSA. This weekend at the gym show I'll look for an uzi mag loader.

Cost of build-

PSA upper - $499
PSA buffer - $12.99
PSA mags - $19.99 each
RRA mag block - $159.95

Total with 1 mag = about $693.
Projected total with 10 mags = $873

coming soon - 3 lug Griffin Armament muzzle device = $65
build total when finished minus optic = $938

I saved money and time by using an existing lower with an existing Form 4 SBR. I didn't add another caliber either so I have an excuse to buy 1000 more 9mm rounds.

I might be too late to help, but in my glock mag side charge upper 9mm I run a Springo red extra power spring and a Spikes ST9X buffer. Works great unsupressed, still waiting on stamp to come in to try it suppressed.

I didn't see it until now. I really like that upper with the side charge handle. Where did u get it?

LoL. Shoot the gun for a while. Then figure if you want the side charger.

Your guns going to get upset if you want to replace it before you even shoot it.

It's the same as the one I got from Runner Runner. You just use a different cam pin, that's where it contacts the charging handle.
