    Another consideration, particularly in a societal collapse situation, would be communications. Some sort of HAM Radio or CB would be highly beneficial.

    Replacement and repair parts and pieces.

    Pretty sure that's been thought on but, always good to re-state the obvious on occasion.
    I've got a few ham radios, and a mobile 2m and a handheld that I keep in a faraday cage just in case of an EMP.

    Better have a vehicle in that Faraday cage (or an old car with no chips).
    If there is an EMP that takes out chipped vehicles there will be nowhere that I can imagine being safe to go, anyway.

    Buy some salt to preserve what you got! I'd also consider getting into reloading if you're not sitting on a mountain of ammo already. It's a bad time to start but who knows when it will get better.

    i'm actually getting OUT of reloading. got enough ammo for awhile. soon as a finish my run of 45colt on my 1100 i'm gonna take a break. been doing it since the mid 60s.
