Shooting enough criminals during break ins would help too. I bought a safe as a sort of insurance but don't see it being someone's fault if their guns are stolen and they don't own one.

I've been laughing my butt off reading through this whole thread -- SO much of it is true.

I go shooting with a friend of mine a pretty good ways out south of town every once in a while and we pack most everything we have with us when we go plus upwards of 400-500 rounds of ammunition per gun. I SWEAR if we ever get pulled over en route, we'll be ALL over the state news as being the latest bust in a gun running scheme to Mexico, because the place we shoot at is a 10 acre patch of land outside the city limits and not an actual gun range (which excuses most people).

If you ever see us handcuffed and duct-taped to the hood of a squad car like trophy bucks after a hunt, you know what happened.
