the first years, years where made in a sand cast mold, the motor has a grainier finish.

Yeah, when was it that a certain "American" motorcycle could no longer say "Made in the USA" but Honda could, and posted it prominently?

My dad has a V-Star 1300. Not bad, but there's something about the handlebars. They need a rider or something, feel like they aren't quite in the right position.

Aside from that it's been a good bike, and my dad discovered by accident lighting up the tire on a second gear shift isn't an issue, lol.

I like the look of the Boulevards.

They do sell a boat load of shirts and vests. Even my wife was caught up in the shirt thing for awhile.

Mitchntx, those are good bikes, though the Honda is (in my opinion) the better of them.

The Suzuki will slide better though, yep, there is a story there!

My next bike will be a year 2000 ish Interstate model. Upgrading from a 2006 Honda Sabre. 1100cc just doesn't do 75~80mph comfortably that is now common on the free-ways for my frame. Ergonomics are also much better.

Honda is nice. Outfitted for the road as you've noted. They come in 1300 and 1800 this one looks like a 1300. The VTX isn't that much different than the Sabre 1100 I ride.
