I have the best results from Wolf Match as well. I never thought "Wolf" anything would be worth a damn (accuracy-wise) but I hear it's made in the same plant as SK match. Btw, I just got an email from KIDD Innovations, my new rifle is done and has shipped to my FFL. I should have it in hand early next week. I'll post pics as soon as she comes in. Can't wait.

Wow! How long of a wait was that?

I'll keep it for you so you don't have to worry....

You're a Prince and a Gentleman, sir! But that's like asking a rich buddy to watch over your smoking hot girlfriend while you're away in the Army. Don't ask me why I would know how that feels...

Thanks guys! Range report and gun porn pics coming soon.

    You damn sure better!

Also shoot the Rimfire Challenge. I know 10/22s are at slight disadvantage, but I'd love to see what a precision tuned one could do on this challenge. See your wife work 100yd dot drills has me more than intrigued in your gun's abilities! And if you want to come hang out with us on Aug 25th in Conroe for Houston Range Day, I bet we'd allow it! Lol.

So I picked up my new KIDD rifle yesterday but I ended up returning the stock I ordered from Stockysstocks.com because I didn't like the fit of the barrel channel. It was slightly cocked to the right when the barrelled action was seated into the inlets and I just wasn't going to accept a bad fit considering what I spent on the mechanicals. Kim over at Stocky's was more than accommodating so I sent it back for a replacement.

On a good note the KIDD components are gorgeous, absolutely top-notch. The bolt is buttery smooth, the barrel is a work of art, and the trigger... well, all I can say is that it's THE best, smoothest, cleanest break on a trigger I have EVER felt... and I have a few great triggers in my collection. It's absolutely unbelievable. I found a decent silver Simmons .22 Mag AO scope that used to sit on one of my other 10/22s that I'm thinking about mounting to the KIDD just so I can shoot it while I save my money for a good Leupold... but I can't bring myself to soil my new beauty with cheap glass .

I might just break down anyway so I can take her out this weekend.

I'll post pics once the new stock somes in. Crossing my fingers that it's straight and worthy as a perch for the new KIDD on the block.

I thought I'd go ahead and post pics of the KIDD 10/22 mechanicals I picked up on Monday. Like I said before, I returned the stock because I wasn't happy with the fit at the barrel channel. My new toy is awaiting a replacement stock from Stockysstocks.com but here she is in all her naked glory. Enjoy!

Left side of the nicely-machined receiver from solid billet. Notice that there's no V-block cinched up against the barrel because it's threaded directly into the receiver. Also note the size of the barrel ledge... it's freaking huge and stable. Beneath the reciever is their sweet two-stage trigger locked into place with threaded receiver pins and it's rock-solid. Absolutely no wiggle or slop between the trigger assembly and receiver - it feels like one milled piece. There's a setscrew in a cutout just above and to the right of the safety that is used to adjust trigger position and cant. Another setscrew in a cutout just above and behind the trigger (at the rear of the trigger housing) sets the pull weight. The zero-MOA picatinny rail is removable and KIDD offers a number of different MOA bases if needed.

Right side of the receiver. Note the polished and scalloped KIDD bolt. It's got a pinned firing pin for more reliable ignition and all of the corners are radiused and polished for smooth cycling. It also sports an incredibly sharp and hardened extractor. The bolt rides on a polished guide rod mated to their slick bolt handle. Bolt lash is tamed by a viton-covered bolt buffer made of hardened steel. It has to be the slickest bolt I've ever felt... there's no grit, nearly no resistance to charging.

A view of KIDD's 20" fluted match-grade barrel with 1:16 twist. It's muzzle-threaded and capped and weighs just over 3 pounds. Bullets engage the rifling at .020" but don't use over-length bullets like CCI Stingers... they won't chamber correctly in this rifle. It's polished to a mirror finish and is a pure work of art. These pics don't do it justice.

Anyway, I'll post pics of the rifle once the new stock is mated to it. I'll probably drop a cheap Simmons .22 Mag AO scope on it just so I can take it to the range and see how she shoots. Going to pick up a nice Leupold in a few weeks to complete the build.

Very nice. Hopefully we can get to meet someday and check it out more. We have a pretty good time at the TGT shoots.

I'm definitely planning on coming out to one of the TGT shoots soon. Just have to find one that works with my schedule. I think I heard that one was being planned for BoTW this November. I might make it out to that one. I'll bring the KIDDs and lots of ammo so people can try them out.

    You're gonna make me blush

It should be a pretty fun time. I can't wait to check out some NFA toys as well. I'm in the process of getting a Gun Trust set up so I'd LOVE to see what I can pick up once I get it. Looking forward to meeting some of you rimfire nuts too. I'm on a few other forums and you bunch seem to be the nicest lot I've run into so far. You won't believe some of the narrow-minded and intolerant people out there. If you don't shoot what they shoot and you don't fit their "mold" then you get looked down on. I LOVE rimfires (always have... grew up with them and they hold great memories) but a lot of people snicker when they see my wife and I shooting them at the range... they laugh until they see our groups then they quietly sit back down and try not to look at us when we all go downrange to check targets .

From the posts I've seen of targets in the Rimfire Challenge I think we will be in good company - you guys are some pretty heavy shooters and I can't wait to learn a few pointers from each of you. Looking forward to meeting y'all soon. Oh, btw, if you're thinking about picking up a KIDD rifle someday talk to Shalee or Maripat, they're AWESOME and will take the time to explain everything you need to know about their products. If they can't answer something then Tony will pop in and give you the gospel. Great people over there - they love what they do and take pride in what they make... that's refreshing to see nowadays.

They have a lifelong customer in me... this won't be the last KIDD rifle I build you can bet on that.

    That hurts Scott.... :)

BTW, got the can for my Surgeon, and I have to get the gun rebarreled now because I need a .338 mount so need new contouring on the barrel.... can in hand and won't be able to shoot it for like 2 months. :(

Yup. Have one of those on my other KIDD and a few other rifles - great stocks but I wish they had free-float channels. I have a soft spot for classic wood stocks so I picked up one of these (*INTRO!* Ruger 10/22 Classic Checkered Walnut & Laminated Stocks - .920 Bull & FBC - Gloss or Satin Finish). I might pick up a B&C Odyssey or Anschutz if the wood stock screws with the rifle's accuracy...
