When I saw the football guy talking about being gay, I thought.....really?.............Who would have thought?...................imagine that. Some of these guys don't need to make any announcement!

Women, on the other hand, are not as easy to figure out. If they look like pixies....yup....Lesbian.

If they look like the critter sitting on the hood of a Mack truck.......yup, Lesbian for sure.

Now the babes............those are hard to figure out. There are some deluxe looking babes who go that way. My friend Bonnie worked in a female prison and a large percentage of them switch while they're incarcerated. I guess they have some kind of switch installed in the back of their head to make the program change. When they're released from the lockup, they go back to men.............or so I've been told.

    It's a crazy old world.

Hardest to figure out are the country girl lesbians. At least back home, real tree jacket and blue jeans was standard bonfire dress regardless of what side of the fence they played

You are right. Many years ago (early 80's) I hooked up with a gal, she was a country girl, a looker, thought we had a great thing going on, she moved in, talking about marriage, then I come home after a trip and she is gone, lock, stock and barrel gone. We stayed in touch over the years off and on, she headed off to Dallas, got in the modeling game and all that came with. She was to have been a Penthouse Pet, but her 'girlfriend' went bonkers over it, they broke up and she went all depressed and slid off into drugs, never made it the shoot. Saw her few years ago right before she moved to Austin to be with her newest girlfriend. I remember sitting there having lunch with her, still wondering why. She never gave me a real answer, not sure she knew herself. As we parted in the parking lot she said she was sorry and regretted what she had sone to me and her parents (they really wanted us to get married).

Funny, about 2 mo later, she left a fone msg at my house and said she had been thinking a lot and if I would like to get back together she would be willing. I thought on it, but knew I could not go thru that twice....

Last I heard, Texas is considering sanctioning same-sex marriage. Fine... let them do what makes them happy... this is a free country. BUT, IMHO, marriage financial perks "tax breaks" are there to help the state and country because marriage encourages adding to the "future tax pool" (kids). We also have tax breaks to help raise more kids... more kids... more tax breaks. Those kids are "future financial contributors to society" so state and federal governments encourage marriage and procreation.

The same cannot be said for same-sex couples. Forget adoption... those kids are already born.

Again, I don't give a rat's ass what others do in their private lives... but don't ask the rest of us to subsidize their choices. We (taxpayers) subsidize marriage and child bearing because it benefits us (taxpayers) by making more taxpayers. Simple as that!!

Marriage [tax] financial perks only exist WHEN YOU HAVE kids. Since I got married (no kids) we've been paying on our taxes where we were getting refunds years prior while being single.

NEW KIDS = FUTURE TAX PAYERS

Gay couples cannot make kids (future tax payers).

Procreation benefits society by making FUTURE TAX PAYERS.

That's why we, CURRENT TAX PAYERS, help fund FUTURE TAX PAYERS.

We should not be asked to subsidize gay couplings. Again, I don't care what they do to make themselves happy (and more power to them)... but TAX BREAKS ARE THEIR TO ENCOURAGE CHILD BEARING... SO THOSE CHILDREN GROW UP TO BE BENEFICIAL TO OUR ECONOMIC GROWTH/SURVIVAL.

If they're going to make an ECONOMIC ISSUE of it then please read my last sentence!!

Talking with my pastor right now. I'm really struggling with how much we should be "in" the world vs set aside from it.

I know who I'd lay my life down for and who I wouldn't. I know who will be there for me and who won't.

    Very clear lines.

Guess that's why we have so many single parent families pumping out babies. More "future tax payers".

Sorry, the future tax payer line don't work when those who see kids as a financial benefit are more than likely going to raise future welfare collectors.

Also, anyone with kids knows that if your taking care of your kids right it costs way more than the little tax credit gives back.

So I've never seen "Modern Family". Tonight while in a store, I was watching the beginning of some show, then the show starts and they are showing all these couples, including 2 guys with a kids, then the title shows "Modern Family". If this show continues 10 years will they include a 3 way marriage? Why not?

THIS is why I don't have cable/dish TV.

Socialists are bent on confusing and breaking down the institutions that have held societies together for thousands of years. Why? So they can rebuild it in their perverted image.

I find it kinda funny, though mostly because of the goofy middle aged straight dad.

    He is full of shenanigans.

If you want you head to explode try to watch "Glee". Makes me want to burn my eyes out with hot coals and jab ice picks in to my ears. Teen pregnancy, teen lesbians, teen gays, all screwing and having a great time while singing and dancing to lady gag gag and rocky horror picture show, the cross dressing black boy, even an episode where a teacher brings her gun to school and a student (special needs of course) finds it and shoots a hole in the wall so we can live through the terror of the whole ordeal as the school goes in to lockdown.

I hate everything about that show.

the last gf I had was in love with that show. Ice picks in the ear would be getting off easy. F'd up probably but I couldn't find it in me to feel bad when that guy died. That show is terrible.

Wow. How won't polygamists be next?

I know i know. The libertarians say everyone can just do whatever they want to do. That's chaos not civilized culture.

As a Christian I struggle with how much I should be "in" the world to reflect Gods light vs how much I need to isolate from the world to not become like it and them. By them I dont mean the gays. That's not my struggle. I have other vices that the world would love for me to be a slave to.
You have to lead by example, man... If your way of life is great then you have to be out in the open showing the successes of it. Shying away from the rest of the world only makes your way of life look seedy; like a guilty pleasure.

As to chaos vs civilized culture, there's a lot of different views on what is considered "civilized culture." There's some goat herders on the other side of the world who think you're uncivilized. I certainly can't speak for all libertarians, but the basic premise of liberty is that you should be able to live your life however you want without coercion. If someone wants to live in a community where it's mandated the type of underpants you have to wear then fine, go live there, but don't begrudge the happiness of people living in Freeballville. To paraphrase Jefferson, if it doesn't pick your pocket or break your bones then it does you no harm.

So you turned her gay?

There is a valid reason everyone pays school taxes.
Yep, how else could we manufacture future wage slaves without everyone being forced at gunpoint to pay for the children to be pumped full of statist propaganda? I need them to pay for my medicare and social security when I get old!

I dont get this libertarian argument of the world being black and white where we have total freedom or are totally controlled. The actual (non-idealized) reality of our country's history isn't this libertarian "utopia".

Some things increase the stability and strength of country and others weaken it.
