Careful of disorderly conduct, Penal Code 42.01: display a firearm in public in a manner calculated to cause alarm.
sad thing is, there are very few places now days that you could carry and not alarm others.
So if it's EXACTLY 5 and 1/2 inches and locks open its ok? lol... If I lived in SA I'd carry a small fixed blade.SA has a law prohibiting the carry of lock blades UNDER 5 and 1/2 inches. State law makes all blades over 5 1/2 inches unlawful to carry.
I see a loophole.
hmm.
im thinking i might start open carrying a long gun around town. on my way to work and what not.
don't see that very often.
that way more people would carry long guns.
hmmm...
i could hang a sign on it that rreads "Do Not Be Alarmed. "
"excuse me ma'am, may i take some photographs of your feet for my website?"

Do hikers commonly use illegal knives?
