Some GOP members are on board, Rubio, McCain(who once said he learned his less about immigration)Graham, and a few others, the media has convinced them the Hispanic vote is there only option what they fail to understand is they(GOP) continue to bring forward poor candidates so conservative votes won't come out to vote.I sincerely hope that everyone who is retarded enough to vote in favor of this God-forsaken thing is removed from office.
We desperately need reforms here but the fact this president and this congress is the one coming up with the bill I dont think it's neccessary to read this bill.
Right now we are kicking out 4.0 GPA engineering students when they graduate, but handing out food stamps to fence jumpers. If that doesn't spell out how screwed we are in a concise way nothing will.
Step one of anything should be securing the border as much as possible.
Hispanic vote is ~75% democrat, if the Republicans think legalizing illegals is going to win them votes they are even more stupid than suspected.
Rubio's heart might be in the right place but he needs to start using his head really soon here, but I think it's safe to say he's rapidly proving himself to be an establishment hack.
McCain is such a flip flopping pile of crap he makes Romney look consistent.
Graham, lol, Graham... Yeah just a matter of time before he gets outted as a pole smoker or a large number of mistresses. Thats probably why he is always lining up with the Dems if he thinks he can get away with it. MSNBC probably has some video of him in the boys room. He just seems like he has a serious John Edwards complex going on.
Issue isn't the GOP candidates, its the GOP voters and the lack of participation and/or fracturing among conservatives in the primary. Huckabee is a little too religious for my tastes in a candidate but would've been a pretty good president. '08 was basically a lock for Obama for reasons that do not need to be expressed, but I believe McCain did a pathetic job. If wasn'y for the "omg he's a hero" voting block he would've lost even worse. 2012 the conservatives really dropped the ball hard moving from candidate to candidate like a roller coaster. It's like people don't realize no matter who they choose the media is going to tear them apart.
We do need to fix the problems with putting up barriers to folks who genuinely want to be Americans. We need to plug the gaping hole that is all the social welfare programs, handouts to illegals, etc. Supporting someone who doesn't want to support themselves has never been a good idea.
Agree, however we must have a set number allowed per year the idea this country can sustain unlimited numbers is simply wrong like any society if numbers increase too fast it will break. We import people and export jobs certainly Joe average will continue to lose in quality of life. As I posted before the 'Gang of Eight" immigration bill is one of the worse I've seen, had to be written by the same folks who did health care.We do need to fix the problems with putting up barriers to folks who genuinely want to be Americans. We need to plug the gaping hole that is all the social welfare programs, handouts to illegals, etc. Supporting someone who doesn't want to support themselves has never been a good idea.
All good points but I don't really think there's any need for immigration reform. There are already so many laws and tenets on the books addressing immigration but NONE of them are being aggressively enforced, if they're enforced at all. My grandparents immigrated to this count. from central Europe over 100 years ago and they were PROUD to go through the necessary steps, which haven't changed all that much over the years, to become naturalized American citizens. Basically, understand some American history, know the Constitution of the United States and be able to read and write simple English. That last part is probably what's got the bug up the ass of many, though. They don't want to assimilate into this country. They want to bring THEIR country HERE. How many states have their "official" documents in multiple languages? Why, if one of the requirements for U.S. citizenship is being able to read and write English?
Publishing documents in multiple languages serves only to enable this kind of bs.
That's exactly why we need reform. The laws are too complicated as it is... The issue I have is that "immigration reform" doesn't really mean anything. If you were to ask congress what it meant, you're likely to get 400 different answers. I'm sure it means amnesty and open borders to the current administrationThere are already so many laws and tenets on the books addressing immigration but NONE of them are being aggressively enforced, if they're enforced at all.
This bill is similar to the health care law a disaster for all Americans who pay tax and like Obama care so many falsehoods about what will occur. Basically make 11+ million people legal add relatives we could be talking 20-30 million, Huge increase in money for entitlements. In the bill they "hope" to secure border but we all know that will not happen. The GOP hopes to gain a few votes from Hispanics and the Democrats hope to turn Texas blue which will happen in 10 years if this ridiculous bill passes.
