    The Trans-Sabine
    Hyundai/Kia is the new VW = cheap, reliable, not too crazy in the frills department, and they make them in half sizes. Like, the Niro is just a little bit larger and taller than the Soul, but not as big as the Sportage which really isn't that large either... etc

    The Santa Cruz is a unibody best described as a crossover trucklet. You'd probably be fine with the Tucson hybrid.

    My 2023 JEEP Gladiator is getting about 15mpg all around. It weighs some 5,000#.

    If I had known what I know now, I’d have bought either a Wrangler with a small Aluminum trailer or a Honda Ridgeline.

    The Gladiator has minimal enclosed luggage space.

    I considered a Tacoma, but the Dealers here aren’t good.
