First off ew on that contraption! I’m probably gonna get flamed for saying this having had 2 mr73’s and now a new colt python..the new colt is a better value not a better gun, compared to the old colts it’s no comparison the older ones are better.


But damn it, this new colt shoots better than any out of box prelock smith I’ve ever touched..I said it.

I have 2 friends that had the lock engage while shooting, a 637 air weight and a 329 pd. Not cool.

The blueing is well done but it isn't same as the Old School finish.
Kinda hard to describe but it is more black in color. It doesn't have that purplish hue the old guns have.

Saw a new Python recently. Looked pretty good, nice finish and bluing. Was going back to Colt according to the owner, though. Malfunctioning.
