Average range trip is 2A Tuesday for dot torture, so 50 rounds of rimfire as a warmup and then 50 rounds of 9mm. When I was working on precision rifle with .22, I might’ve shot as few as 10 or as many as 50.

Most trips to the range have a purpose for me, and that purpose ain’t to waste ammunition, it’s to maintain or improve technique or skill. That can get real hard after 50 rounds or so. Quality over quantity in my book.

When I shoot I take a typical target, and turn it over.
I'll generally stick 4 or 5- 1" orange stick on dots.
I might shoot 50, or I might shoot 100, at some or all of them.

    But that's not .22s.

    For me?

Using the K 22...typically a brick in an afternoon.

Using the Mk II or 10/22, typically two bricks....(especially when grandkids come)

Using the Marlin 39 or Single Shot? Half a brick....

Between 500 and 1,000 I typically shoot 100 round groups with pistols and plinking .22 rifles from 10-25 yards and 5 shot groups with my target .22 at 50 yards.
