Just picked up a scope for my Savage that hasn't come in yet. I'm hoping to have it ready for this shoot.

The guy at SWFA suggested the same thing you did. So I got the Vortex Crossfire 4-12 X 40 AO with Talley rings. Got flip up covers for free.

Currently i am planning on going but will have to see what my school work load will be like. I should know for sure by monday. If i do go go i will be driving my truck so a hitchhiker or two wont be a problem, or towing something smallish.
I would bring my
Sw 1911 e series
Hk p30 .40
Cz 75b 9mm
Stag ar15 model 3L.
Mossberg 500 with slug barrel

And maybe
Sks, norinco original parts
Marlin 22 lr
Sw 66-3 357

And plenty of ammo for each.

I guess while you are doing that you can scratch the Kimber and add a Savage 93R17.

Carefully with the covers. I wasn't paying attention sighting mine in and somehow raked the front one with my arm and cracked it right where it hinges.

Well, they were free anyway. The front one is almost useless. It turns with the parallax adjustment.
