So Scheels has one and I was able to check it out. Its pretty nice but like most US made rifles the LOP is for children or women. If you are going to make a rifles damn LOP midget size, you need to add spacers so the rest of us can use your rifle. Ffs

Other than that the fit and finish was nice but I wasnt able to dryfire it.

Ill stick with a ruger pc9 for not

Edit: I am retarded. @zaitcev pointed out the LOPs between the this and the ruger pc9

    Gunz are icky.
    Got to fingerbang one yesterday.
Gonna be a nope from me dawg.
Buttstock was way too long for me. Gun is larger than you’d think. It ain’t petite.
I just didn’t like the way it shouldered.
    Kinda pricey to boot.

Some 25 years back, noting increasing Physician ignorance in the area of “gunshot” injuries & firearms in general; I began teaching sessions on projectile injuries; first at UTMB, later @ UTHSC-Houston, then LSU Med.

The appalling ignorance of the post-Vietnam & non-hunting cadres was astounding.

Just as we saw masses of ignorami discussing “herd immunity” recently in absolutely inapplicable situations; back then the “shock cavity” necrosis of military experience was attributed to EVERY GSW, no matter how trivial.

Indeed, each ‘’GSW’’ was considered equal to all others.

I can only hope that I did some good.

Hmm thats weird. It felt like a shorter LOP. Maybe its tbe short radius on the iron sights threw me off. Disregard my comments then

    I came from a World of shotguns, .22lr’s, & pistols/revolvers.

i do not understand the continuous push for ever decreasing lop’s for centerfire rifles.

I’ve always put spacers on my centerfire rifles.

    .

It depends on your arm length mostly.
Longer arms = longer length of pull
Most companies sell the stock over length. The customer has to get it cut down to fit.
Finding a competent gunsmith to do this is a problem for most folks these days.
I myself prefer a slightly short stock. It works better with a jacket etc.
I noticed this with other Henry made guns. The stocks are just too long for me.
Another problem with the Henry's are the curved metal buttplates they come with.
You can't just whack off the stock and reattach it. It has to be re-fitted.

Most newer stuff has a pistol grip which will generally pull you in closer vs a traditional stock. Also more people where a vest or plate carrier now, so the shorter lop helps with that too.

You can use a too short LOP, not so much an LOP that's too long.

And it's easier to add a spacer or butt pad than it is to shorten a stock
