Does anyone see a problem with a bunch of people running around the streets with guns and no training?
I believe in constitutional carry so.....
Should people get training and experience? Yes. But I don't want to require it by law.

.32 caliber minimum, otherwise he doesn't get to make his own rules. You could qual with SW500 if you wanted. He told us not in his class. Only hand guns

I am considering file a complaint with DPS but for now I just need to find a place to do the shooting range portion and give him the certificate of that test so he can issue my certificate of completion.1st off, welcome
2nd, revolvers and SA pistols are both handguns.
Unfortunately you got a d*** instructor, I think you should name him here for the benefit of others and report him to DPS. It is his responsibility to determine an individuals proficiency in the LTC setting. Tell him you want to take the shooting test as required by law and what you've already paid for.

I agree. My issue is that he only do the test with hand guns. And I don't have a hand gun and he will charge me 60+ dollars for a rental and 2 boxes if ammo. I think for less money I can do the test with a instructor willing to helpIf you learn the basics, he should give you the shooting part himself.
Just meet up at one of his classes.
You shouldn't have to pay for someone else to do the shooting test.

Well crap. I downloaded the 2019-2020 edition before my post then accessed the old version for my reg quote. You're right, tks. There isn't a minimum caliber requirement anymore. It was removed during the 2017 Legislative Session.
He could qualify with a .22 Single Six.

I know I should name him , but honestly I don't want to hurt his business or reputation. Not the purpose of this post. I just need my certificate of completion and my LTC license. I think he will damage his own reputationName this *******.
If you're telling the truth you're not hurting his business, he is. I can understand you waiting until all your LTC docs are in order but a forum is to discuss and help others and by naming him, that is what you'd be doing.I know I should name him , but honestly I don't want to hurt his business or reputation.
