Spend a fortune feeding these cats, a cruelty streak might be handy.

Seriously we had a bad mole problem, tunnels all over the yard, nothing I did got rid of them for long... until the cats. Fair trade.

Unfortunately, a pair of roaming dogs disemboweled the cat a couple of weeks back. My cameras caught them about 2 a.m. near the house. I found the cat, then checked the cameras and saw the culprits.

I haven’t seen them again, but I’m still on the lookout. Likely abandoned strays just like the cat.
That sucks. Sorry to hear that.

I got two big Rubbermaid type tubs and nested them together with some bubble wrap between them. I inverted them and cut a hole in the corner of them for a door. In-between the lids (now the floor) I placed a heading pad. I placed a small towel / baby blanket in it. I keep it on the covered front porch for the feral cat. Over the summer we've had two more cats show up. When I build the new ones, I'll get a smaller inner tub and use more insulation between the layers.

Or I may just build litter bucket condos.

I'll post some pics when I retrieve my phone from upstairs.
