I have a P30 as well. I bought it used and am undecided about the stippeling. Otherwise it is my favorite 9mm.

keep hearing that slide to frame fit only accounts for around 10-15% of accuracy. I've heard as low as 5% to as high as 20%, but then again, this is the internet.
It's probably not possible to put a number on it, but slide to frame fit would be the last thing to look at when chasing an accuracy issue. In a tilting barrel, locked breech handgun, how well the barrel locks into the slide determines accuracy from a fitment standpoint. The only way slide to frame fit is really going to effect accuracy is if the barrel lockup isn't as good as it could be or if the slide is traveling a significant amount before the bullet has left the barrel.

That said, a gun with highly polished, perfectly fitted rails feels like butter. Just the fact that it feels great could increase your accuracy psychologically

It's about consistency. A tight frame has a better chance of going back to the same place every time.

Bruce tightened it and serrated the back.

Never understood the reason why people serrate or checker the back area though.

I will tell you WHY they do it, but I won't argue whether it actually helps or not....it is done to reduce glare reflecting off the back of the slide. The same is done to many rear sights.

It's also done to give you some difference on your site picture... Have me show you the next time we shoot. The way my rear site picture is set up draws my eyes directly thru rear site to the front.
