It was not that long ago "immigrants" were caught in London (and other areas) catching and eating swans. In some cultures eating cats and/or dogs is part of their cuisine so why is it so strange for people to believe it could happen here?

I remember I the 70's, maybe '76, a Chinese restaurant opened in Austin (no surprise) that had dog on the menu. It was open about 10 days.
