    Gun transfer fee

what is the "usual" fee for an FFL to transfer a gun to the owner? Had gun shipped from Pennsylvania to Patriot and after a couple days of abuse he finally relented and transferred to me -- charged me $250.
I've filed a complaint, and plan to follow up with the ATF - but, what's the usual fee down here in TX?

I just had a terrible experience with the owner at Patriot. Granted, I'm a Yankee, and I work for FEMA, but I've been in TX over a year and legally (whether he likes it or not, I'm a resident!), this guy treated me like I was the Taliban. Very abusive, argumentative --- and -- charged me $250 to transfer my own gun to my possession!! Stay Away!

There has to be another side to this story.

Glad to see business back to usual in Galveston. Things certainly got torn up pretty badly by Ike last year. Haven't visited the island in a while. I'll be home on r&r next month and will try to stop in.
