I'm convinced Nissan Altimas come with child support wage garnishments as factory equipment. I was GM of an insurance agency and, in one year, we hired two salesmen who both drove Altimas. For each, we were almost immediately served with orders for child support wage garnishments. A couple of years later, we hired another guy who drove an Altima. Two weeks later, boom; another order for child support wage garnishment. So, three for three. If any TGT member drives an Altima and DOESN'T owe child support, please post up.

6 years ago I had a section 8 neighbor with a 2004 model. She was single and something was ALWAYS wrong with that car. I was always scanning it to find the codes and sometimes it was an easy fix, but other times she had to pay the local mechanic. Altimas had so many common issues that a quick Google with the code would show an overwhelming population of owners that had already experienced the same issues.

Maybe they could only afford an Altima because of the child support payments? I am a firm believer that one should be financially responsible for their spawn but some divorce judges make it impossible for the father to support himself at the most basic level. Not every divorce is the father's fault.

    So how's your Altima?
